Hello there from Cody where there is NO snow on the ground and has been warm and sunny for the last several days! It’s looking like that may change here in the next few days, but some of us are hoping for a white Christmas, so it’s hard to complain.
Hopefully by now, you’ve gotten your Christmas card from us with hand-picked sage (for most of you, I think that’s the favorite part!). Hard to believe that we’re up to sending out around 1900 cards each year to guests (current and former), staff, family and friends. EACH one gets its own piece of sage that’s either been picked here in Cody or up at the ranch, cut into pieces and then placed in the cards. It is quite the project!! But we love keeping up with everyone and sending out a little piece of Wyoming during the holiday season – hope that you all agree.
After getting hit hard with some snow in early November, things have been pretty quiet weather-wise up in Sunlight Basin. There’s a bit of snow in some shadier spots but overall, most of it has melted off. We’re guessing that we’ll be longing for these days in April when there are still feet of snow on the ground! Luckily, it’s been kind to our winter caretakers who continue to chip away at their various projects at the ranch. Here are a few shots from Dewey Riddle flats on Sunlight Road on Monday — a couple of us were up there helping some friends pack out an elk, so we were definitely thankful for the good weather and sunshine that afternoon!
ALSO — stay tuned for some new merchandise in our ONLINE STORE (found here: https://www.7dranch.com/shop/) and we just might be throwing in a little New Year’s discount, so keep up with us via Facebook and Instagram (and if you don’t follow us on Instagram yet — head on over there and follow @7dranch! We’re almost to 700 followers — can you help us get there before the end of the year?)
Wishing everyone a very safe and happy holiday season — we’ll catch up with you all more in 2018!
