I know it still feels like the dead of winter, but spring is creeping up! With only 12 weeks till Penny and I return to the Ranch for the 2023 season I find myself day dreaming often… Nothing beats the feeling of the cool, crisp air as you start your hike up Memorial to watch the sunrise over Sunlight Basin; trail lit by the moon. The second guessing of your life decision to hike up to Copper Lakes only to get to the first lake and see crystal blue water sparkling in the sun nestled up against the base of the snowy mountain top; views that you thought only existed in pictures and movies. Following the smell of fresh cowboy coffee and bacon being cooked over an open fire that leads you to brunch ride, do I need to say more?! The sound of boots stomping on the Rec Hall floor, in sync (if were lucky 😉) to Copper Head Road on line dancing night. The ranch and Sunlight Basin have been life changing and mind altering for me as I know it has been for many other staff and guests. Whether you are a new face here or a familiar one, I am positive you will have a vacation that you can not stop thinking about after you have left. I can’t wait to see you all!
