Fall has definitely arrived in Cody and up at the 7D!
We have officially moved the office back into town and are busy already gearing up for next season. The weather has turned from gray and snowy (both up at the ranch and here in town) to beautiful and sunny (albeit a little chilly and windy!) – but the leaves are changing everywhere which makes for quite the scenery.
Meanwhile, up at the ranch….our resident builders, Byron Kinkade and Jesse Tillotson, are busy adding a living room to the back of our Waldorf cabin which we think will be a tremendous addition. They will also be making several changes to the interior of the cabin so stay tuned! Their other main project is re-situating our sheep wagons and making a few improvements (new roofs, insulation, etc.) to each of them – I’m sure next year’s staff will be incredibly grateful!
Our horses are either being used for hunts or are grazing out in our hayfields or in Trail Creek which is quite close to the ranch – we check on them daily and they are doing well!
The one last thing to mention is in response to questions I keep getting about 2019 (yes, 2019, not 2018!). We are taking reservations and definitely recommend talking to us soon if you’d like to bring a big group out to the 7D! We still have quite a bit of availability but want to make sure to give people the heads up they need to plan accordingly.
That’s all for now – we’ll keep you posted on everything in the fall and winter!
Here are few pictures of the horses in Trail Creek and the snow from the other day up at the ranch:
